Reading this story, I felt somewhat regret. Why wasn't I so clever just like him?! But, I'm still reading a story,so yet don't know what's gonna happen to him like that:p
At the end of this stoty, I thought a Korea's very famous literary writing.
The narrator of this story is a nine-year old girl. I can't sure her age but similar with the boy in this story. She thinks herself is claver but she is so naive. In that story, Her father is dead and his friend moved to a detached room in her house. Girl's widow mother is owner of the house. There is strange feeling between late father's friend and mother but they control own emotion. In girl's mind, their behaviour look like kind of anger each other. It is misunderstanding, exactly. And in the last part, father's friend leave the house. Of course all readers recognise that two people like each other except the main character, the innocent little girl. The storytelling style of two novels are very similar, I think.
Now we finished this story that kind of never ending story. But George would not be like Rodney because later he will know everything about Uncle's story and crime. If everybody in town already knew all about it, than why George wouldn't never know the real? He can learn the lesson with Uncle's story. Well..and I think George and Rodney's desire of money is different. In other way, George can be even worse person than Uncle. This young little boy tried to calculating in every moment. When he grown up, he can be smarter and know about the real situation enough to control all the things and hide his work for money.
Oh, actually we read sort of this boy's grown up version-Allen Bernstein! They have many similar things, I think. Again, Rodney shot by police, Bernstein divorced... Maybe I can say George's life also would be bad ending.
Just like Marx saids, everything in the world happens twice. First is a farce, second is a tragic. I think, for George, this story can be a farce in his life. But just like what mentioned in our class, if George would become like his uncle, maybe then his life will be a tragic.
Maybe It's kind of stereotype answer but adults should act right infront of kids That how I read this story and kids should act like kids. I feel sad and pity about George
This story is little tragic to me. Because, the kid doesn't know about uncle's behavior after all. But, if the kid grows up and knows uncle's crime in the end, it is possible that the kid shocked and acts like a uncle Rodney. That is very bad thing and tragic.
When I read the story, I thought a Korean famous novel, maybe the same story what Hyeon-Jin Jeong thought. I like this kind of view in the writing. A kid narrator runs the story!! That makes me exciting because when we look though a story with kid's eyes, it's fun to interpret what the writer tried to present. Kids don't lie. They say what they see directly. They sometimes think strangely, which makes them cute. Also they think creatively.
Also I feel really sorry that uncle Rodney asked George such a bad thing. How could he!! But I also think that uncle was also a naive kid as George. Then how that naive boy become a bad adult? I don't know, because the story never told me. But becoming a bad adult and suicied itself is sad...
Technology is generally defined as the practical application of scientific knowledge in the commercial and industrial field. Have you ever tried to imagine how the business world would function without technology? Everybody will agree that technology is indeed essential for all businesses whether they are small or large. ดูอนิเมะ
